A Cool Realization September 29, 2008

Tonight I spent some time going back and reading the pages I had written here about who I am or I should say who I was when all of this began.

It is amazing what letting God take control can do for a life.  I have been gaining more and more confidence in Him to the extent that I barely recognize the insecure, confused and sad girl that started this blog.  I am learning to break free from old bondage, find the true source of joy and truly feel like me again.

My days are not perfect and I don’t toot sunshine but my goodness, life is good.

My Long Lost Love May 18, 2008

I feel so terrible because I have neglected the one thing I actually stick with…my blog!  I still giggle when I realize that I blog.  Just never thought that would be me.  But I SO AM!

There has just been so much going on I hate that I cant write full pages on each event or funny moment.  I will do a quick review post of all the random things I can remember…

A Very Cool Moment March 31, 2008

Last Sunday at church Drew sang this amazing song that if I could I would have just stood up and asked them to play a hundred times over so I could take in every word, every note.  IT was amazing.  I had never heard it before and looked it up.  Aparently it is pretty popular right now.  It is called “Whatever It Takes” by Lifehouse.

It talks about being willing to do whatever it takes to make a relationship work after pain has been inflicted and hurt has set in.  About realizing what it is you have and begging for it.  In my short but oh what can feel so long marriage, my husband and I have both been on the giving and receiving side of this song so it hit me especially hard.

I was on the phone with my husband who is out of town for 3 months on work and told him about this amazing song our friend had introduced me to and how much it meant to me and made me think of us.  He stopped a second a said that this weekend he was in the car and heard a song he wanted to share with me too.  You guessed it. 

Before I even told him anything about the song he began to explain how it was about just doing whatever it takes to make things right.  I had to stop a moment and rethink if I had let the song title slip and he was just trying to score points or be silly!  Nope!  I played the song over the phone and he was so excited he got goosebumps.

It was such a neat moment to know that our hearts were in the same place.  Maybe a dysfunctional place but hey, sometimes you gotta be grateful for where you are and what you got at that moment!   You can check out the song at vh1.com in their top 20.

OK, so I can check to see how people found my blog.  It says the basics like where they were referred from or if they used a search engine to look up a certain topic.

To my surprise…the most commonly searched “tag” has been…wait for it…ARMPIT!  Whaaat?

Focusing On The Good March 3, 2008

We spent our last Saturday together as a family at the zoo!  This not only my kids’ first time but mine as well.  I was so excited!  I wanted to see the giraffes!  So we packed up and headed out to the Jacksoonville Zoo!  We had such an awesome time!

If you ask Will what his favorite animal was he Will promptly tell you “Thomas”… as in Thomas the Train!  Ummm…still a bit confused!  The train ride was pretty neat though!  There was a ton to do for kids and pretty cheap too!  We pet pygmy goats, played in water, ate popcorn, fed giraffes, saw all kinds of animals, and even played on the playground and rode on the carousel!  I put a bunch of pictures on my Facebook page if you want to see!

It was just a terrific day!  And it did’nt end there!  Awesome friends of our took the kids at like 6 and kept them overnight!  Woo hoo!  Gotta live it up when and however you can!  Franc had “surprised” me (I will explain in the next post!) with an evening out….

Just Not Quite Ready March 2, 2008

I am sitting here… 1 kid down and 1 to go…  It is quiet at least.  I am not sure when I am going to be ready to write.  It is a roller coaster of emotion at my house.  Franc left tonight and it was rough.  Just not ready to admit some of the emotions yet.  
Hopefully I will be back tonight.

I have no time to chat right now but boy I have got a ton of stuff to jot down for tonight!  We ahave been crazy busy all weekend and Franc leaves tonight.  I will have a lot to say.
