Tehehehe…my homies…
Anyway… I recently have had a couple of conversations recently that have got me thinking…I think I am going to do the bullet point approach again…too many random thoughts to bother putting into a fluid paragraph that actually makes sense.
It is all kinda based on my 1 pet peeve and sore spot…again. Media and Fame.
-Parents. Why can’t parents see what it does to children to put them into the industry and then take away any structure or foundation that they will need to stay grounded and out of rehab? I am not against child acting, just have enough sense to do it correectly for the sake of your meal ticket, i mean child.
-Paparazzi. I get that it is a love and hate thing. They boost your career but they also cross some safety lines and invade much needed privacy. Which leads me to the next one…
-Us. Why are we so infatuated with celebrities? Are your lives that terrible? Can you not see true beauty in what you have been given? Do you realize 90% of what you see in either fake, imbellished, airbrushed or all of the above? Sucks.
-Media. If I could personally punch each person responsible for feeding America and especially our children the crap that we foolishly buy into…oooh I’d have bloody fists but it would all be worth it. I could go on forever.
-Living up to expectations. I feel sorry for the people in the spotlight that have a difficult time just wanting to be themselves but are so worried there are cameras or disapproving eyes…expecting them to live up to whatever has been put on them by the media. Yes, it is their choice to be in the spotlight but I wonder how many would give it up if they had the garauntee they wouldnt be ridiculed for “fading out”or “failing.”
So homies…keep your heads held high and be yourself. You are good enough the way you are. Make them come up to your level. Peace..YO. tehehehee
Just my observation. Our culture is just shallow. It is a lot easier to focus on the outside because we can “fix” that. What is harder is to “airbrush” the negative things that are inside us. It is easier to put on makeup than do “heart” surgery.
